Ticket checking
« on: June 03, 2004, 11:58:45 pm »
I was wondering what the little check-tabs are for on the tickets. There are four little tabs with 'contrôle' on it. I know that this means 'check' but when are they taken off? Is there more than one checkpoint or do they take one off when you leave the track/circuit area?
Regards,
Mike Philippens

They're taken off when you go through the ticket barrier into the circuit. Make sure that you get a 'contramarque' (pass) from the guys on the ticket barrier when you go back out of the circuit, 'cos you'll need it to get back in again.

The little sections are for different tomes I believe. I think/guess one is for the test weekend, one is for Wednesday qualifying and one for Thursday Qualifying and one for the race itself. You retain the main part of the ticket and if you leave the circuit during the race they give you a "countermarque" which you then surrender on re-entry.

...and for future reference, one of them is for pre-qualifying weekend - yes, you ticket will cover you for a weekend in April as well as June!
