I'm down here in Jersey and we have bright sunshine today.  The last couple of weeks have been crap but over the last days it's become a lot warmer.  If the weather is good here it's normally excellent in Le Mans.  Cool

Good news Planman, I hope you're right.

I read on one forum that the weather pattern for the last few years seems to go:

Sunny...Sunny...Rain...Sunny...Sunny...Rain...Sunny...Sunny...Rain

So:  2001 Rain, 2002 Sunny, 2003, Sunny??

Then lets hope it doesn't follow on like that for 2004  Wink

Gilles
It is an Asquith bus replica.  Based on a long wheel based Transit Chassis with 3 litre Granada running gear.
It is an excellent tour bus.  Has tv/video, air con, the seats in the rear are fully air suspensioned and are totaly adjustable.  There is an external speaker system and the original klaxons always get a laugh.  Can normally be seen ferrrying about 20 pished blokes into town on the Friday afternoon for the parade, playing "Land of hope and Glory"

And yes it was taken in expo.  We were camped next to Wener and his party last year, but will be in Bleu this year.

I remember seeing it going around Expo last year, it looked great.

Hopefully not too many people remember us driving around Expo last year though on the Silver BMW   Embarrassed

If you want a decent forecast nearer departure time, instead of the rubbish peddled on the telly, try this link:

http://www.phd.nl/aviation/wx/

It's a European aviation weather website and the most useful maps are the Met Office and USAF surface analysis maps (up to 120 hrs in advance - that's 5 days ahead for the mathematically challenged) or the surface precipitation rate chart which runs out to 6 days in advance.   Very useful and accurate - I checked the forcast using this site for the 2001 race and when I left UK (and internet access) on the Wednesday morning, it was predicting the first arrival of rain on mid-late afternoon on the Saturday....
