They were indeed! Mind you, at £20 for an Aston Martin baseball cap they've got the money to throw at the cars! Top day!!!! :D

I dunno what anyone else thought but I looked at the Aston merchandise and thought some of it looked tacky. The T-shirts in particular looked faded as if they had been washed a dozen times. I expected somthing with a bit more class from Aston Martin, a bit like the Bentley stuff.
Saying that I did like the hats and maybe I should have bought one to shade my face cos I look like a beetroot this morning. :-[

A lot of their stuff is made by Hackett, so you would expect it to be pretty good!!

I'm not doubting the quality just the faded look. It dosn't reflect the wonderful colour green of the cars

Excellent - can't wait to see them at Le Mans as I couldn't get to Silverstone.

Just one question - what's with the orange sky? Is this local atmospheric conditions around the Northampton area or 'artistic' use of lens filters?

Expect to be bent over backwards and well and truly shafted in Le Mans if you want to buy it there, judging by the Silverstone prices. I bet the hats go for 30 euros a pot.
And yes it is polluted in Northampton

You could always buy your merchandise in advance from www.astonmartinracingcollection.com as I doubt that the pricing will be the same as at Classic Le Mans last year where the Euro prices were about 20% cheaper than UK £ prices on the Aston merchandise stand!  They were the cheapest there by a long way, and were practically sold out by Sunday lunchtime.
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

Didn't we pay $25 for the hats in Sebring?

There or thereabouts (I thought $24).

Either way, fly them all the way to the US and they are £13 (ish) Keep them here in the UK and they are £20!!!  :o :o

And at Sebring they were being sold in the ALMS shop so they were probably taking a margin as well!

I just put this in another thread, but thought I'd mention it in this one...

Jon and I got our AM caps, £20 is quite a high price, but whilst standing in the paddock after the race, behind the AM pit, as the team drank champers, Mrs. Russ grabbed the caps from us, walked calmly into the restricted area, up to Mr. Brabham and asked him to sign them! So now our caps have his signature and are worth over £22.35 !!  ;)

I knew there was a reason for having a blond & busty wife!!  ;D What a darling!

My hat was signed by Ortelli and a couple of the other (different) drivers who were driving in Sebring. Chris24 will probably remember who they were, as he  had to point them out to me...
