The one on the main square just opposite Macdonalds.

If you get there early enough the beer is still coldish.   The Brethren normally fill a corner.  If its sunny there are umbrellas.

All around this square (3place de la Republique") you've got several refreshing places with umbrellas.

This may not count, but, if you fancy a drive out and would like to sit beside a river and have a bottle of the local fizz try here.

we've found a relatively good bar on the parade route which we occupy on the friday. its just down from the main square, on a cross roads, where the parade route goes under a bridge. its nothing special but they set up a beer table outside so you dont have to go very far to get a beer!

We're civilized this side of the Channel. In every bar you have table service. It's only in so-called pubs that you've "service a l'anglaise".

Maybe it could be a good solution in UK to adopt table service to resolve female unemployment  ;)

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

In Newbury and in London Several pubs have already adopted it

yeah but generally it gets so busy that table service becomes almost impossible.

and anyway, with table service it just means that the waitress only has to go a short distance to the outside bar, rather than the much larger distance to the inside bar!

Nobby, if you are referring to the "female unemployment" remark - I have chosen to ignore it, making allowances for Gilles being not a native english speaker and possibly having got confused with his translation.  :-X

And also - I am fully employed thanks very much - you can all get yer own beer!

F

P.S. I like the idea that "english service" is no service at all!  :D
