Pits
« on: May 24, 2005, 09:43:17 pm »
After many visits I've bought a camera and want to take pictures of the cars in the pits. I may even watch more than a few laps of the race as well.

When is the best time to get into the pits for free.

Thanks

Jem

Anytime Friday is good.
Friday morning early is best, less people, better photo opportunities, more time for drinking later  ;D

On Monday at the Place du Jacobins and also in the pit lane as there is very little security and the teams are happy to talk to you!!

Thanks Phil,

I'm more than happy for the cars to be in bits, makes for more interesting photos sometimes.

I prefer the pits and garage on race day - there's more happening; like little Johnny, waiting for the guys to "pimp his ride"
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

Look like you know where you are going and wonder through a pit garage! This worked at the classic last time. Managed to watch about 20mins from the pit wall.  As for the main race I am not sure this tactic works.!
