Heat Stroke
« on: June 24, 2005, 03:44:25 pm »
Well...........it happened to one of my mates.

Dozy wazzok had to do too much sun worshiping on Sateurday.  Only wearing his shorts, he sat there for hours waiting for the race, and a couple of hours after.  Not many beers, but no water.............

Consequence.........just walking back to tent and he fell over having a major seizure, foaming at the mouth....full monty stuff. YUK

Much praise for the French White Cross volunteers.  Bloody marvellous people.

Mate recovered and said he was Ok.  Walked back to tent and had another bloody fit.  Recovered Ok, but the rest of didn't get any beer or food until midnight.  Oh how laughed afterwards........well nearly ::)

I really hate when I am exposed under the heat of the sun; I always suffered heat stroke..I would really have a headache, and for sure I'll vomit after..

The heat of the sun is truly irresistable..

Not sure I understand that Peter, but a sad footnote to the above incident.  364 days later, the afore mentioned mate died of lung cancer.

You just never know.................................

to be honest Gibb, I'm right pissed off and a change of air is needed, so its back out to Phuket and Bali for us, long term, at least six months so i can get some tax back, rather give it to a country that needs it rather than Mr Bliar who goes and wastes it on things i don't agree with and the next chump will only be as bad.

BTW guys, not going overseas until AFTER LM, it wouldn't be safe for me, just taken four weeks to get rid of a cold and cough.

I thought you had, new life and all that malarky? Anyway, how are you?
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.
