Speed Chills
« on: June 24, 2005, 06:18:19 pm »
So, who went to them?  opinions?

As a group we were very disappointed - beer prices hiked up frmo last year, food quality poor.

Worth the £15 entrance fee for the shade, cold beer availability, chill out areas though, and of course, the bands on Sunday night!

I bought their Aston t-shirt back in May - very nice.

Other than that, I'm not able to comment.

My views cannot be shown. They promised the cheapest beer and the best food, crap.
Beer was too pricey and the food, blah :P, £8 for a burger and £4 for a beer. Bloody joke.

We went as a stag team, and on the friday night i  think it was a curry or a cow pack from the next field, sh*t. Toilets, sh*t, beer price, sh*t, walking all that way, sh*t.

  We'll I go again next year, sh*t no way! >:( >:(

On are last night (Sunday) we got through £250 on beer alone and a nice bottle JD from a bunch of guys who failded the dare.

After that, can't remember a thing apart from waking up in the middle of a field with a pile of sick next to me.

Once again speed chills SUCKED.  But the french waitress had nice tits :D :D

And all that on No Complaints day...

Seriously, please do not post comments like the above unless they are true and can be substantiated. I'm sure you know why...

I apologise, was not aware of "No complaints Monday". But what I said is true about speed chills and if anyone thinks that at £20 a ticket was worth it, I would love to hear your storys.

Speed Chills is/was a farmhouse adjacent to Beasjour.  The guys who run are all voluntary, and in their 2nd year.  Last year they learnt a lot, and made a loss.  This year, they tried to address many requests + lessons learnt.  Dont know about loss or profit this year, but they did put a lot of effort in, but were let down by suppliers etc.

they offer cold beer, food and shelter - something needed in all weather climates.  plus huge plasma tv for those requiring it.   I think for the availability of the food & beer + tea is worthwhile for the money, and of course the travel service they offered.  I dont think the price and availability of the food was appropriate.

 :-* :-* :-*

I admit to being unusually bitter at the moment .....but really?

And what car do you drive/like/interested at all in/CC/top speed/0-60 in - do you know???

Is it worth as much am my 205 Auto (doubt it)

Speed Chills? don't expect you know the meaning of the words to be frank. I mean, have you ever been driven in an F40 by the lovely Fabrice in Geneva?

Not lived? (and I don't mean that too much about the F40 as it was very difficult to get in and out of - Fabrice did smell very very nice though)

IT IS NO COMPLAINTS DAY and I am not complaining about you - just saying.
