Randy, by co-incidence, I've just got into the office having been at a lunchtime wedding of an old friend and sometime Le Manner. No Cowmen or gorillas though! (For those who don't know, I first met Randy at a wedding in Sebring.) And later on tomorrow afternoon, I'll be going down to Cowes on the Isle of Wight with Paul Zarse for the world famous international yachting regatta. It has the biggest bar in the world in the yacht haven, live bands and a humongous firework display to round it off. David Coulthard is racing for the first time. I reckon he'll finish in the midfield as usual.

Probably only in the same way that I am a race fan... Precisely Smokie! I have the vaguest interest and I've done a bit of sailing in the caribbean but my nautical prowess really extends no further than the ability to drive the van onto Brittany Fisheries once a year.

At least you can tell port from starboard - unlike some unmentionables!

They are fun and not really for racing in UK waters, maybe the states or the carribbean. If you are after a racing cat, ie one with two hulls, try a dart or similar, very active racing fleet on the south coast.

Peter, if you have aballast in the boat, anything is possible, especially on the south coast.
