Thats sound right about the prices for the June week being that much higher. You only have to see how much more we pay for the ferry in the said week.
Try the tour operators? Lufthansa via Germany, Virgin via Gatwick? Air France/KLM (same company).

What days are you flying Randy, you will get the best deals off business peak i.e. Thursdays and Mondays, we got to New York in January (dam cold though) for £230 all in, return with BA from LHR.

Hi Randy, In my experience prices come down in the late Spring. As already suggested try different days of the week and also different departure cities in US. Atlanta and Philly 2 examples but even Chicago can have good deals. Canada Phil

Randy & Phil, I'm looking at $1099 for a Tuesday-Monday roundtrip on Delta direct from CVG to CDG. Thats about usual compared to recent years. The advantage I have is that within an hour of hitting the tarmac at CVG I can be sitting on my couch beginning the recouperation process. Fax

don't forget United as well. Just hope they stay in business however but their prices have been pretty good. I do like British Air the best of all. really classy operation. but the best looking flight attendants I have ever seen EVER, were with Berlin Air from Vienna to Paris last year. I was absolutely speechless with the beauty of those ladies taking care of us. Also, I see on Yahoo adds for cheap airfare to Paris from NY. you might want to check in there on that. Right now it's about $240 round trip but add on from Tampa/Orlando area. I have heard that direct flights from Orlando maybe cheaper than even Miama to Europe. You really just have to check lots of airports/airlines/and days of the week. Good luck and remember it just like a crap shoot. Hold your breath and hang on.

United are not likely to go bust by then, Insider information from Dad (who works for them is good). I flew united to Sebring as a standby passenger and was treated well in most cases. Standby passengers usually cause a lot of grief for the Flight Attendants.
They do not fly to Orlando or Paris but their partner airlines do. United use Ted in the US and BMI and Lufhansha in the UK. If you fly to London it might be easier to come over with one of us then transfer to Paris though.

The flight I punched in was LHR to ORD, Flying out on the 11th Saturday Before and Flying back on the Monday after. I only have 6 days leave left so I cannot extend it much more. Will look at options like flying to Germany first and then on from there.
Paying E300 about £200 plus easyjet to Munich should save about £50!
