More Total Insanity
« on: January 03, 2006, 05:14:11 am »
It's Barrett Jackson auction time of year again....

1954 Oldsmobile F88 Concept Car (kinda like a cross between an early 50's 'vette and the Batmobile)............. $3 million.

go figure.

Happy New Year to all my CA buddies, by the way - Daytona in a month, Sebring in three - Le Mans in six - another year of shits 'n' grins on the cards
and f*ck PoD!

Matt

Madness, utter madness. How do they work that out???

I read over the weekend that James Bond's Aston Martin from Goldfinger is soon to be auctioned and expected to make $millions. Of course, it's not the actual one used in the film, but a contemporary replica used in the film promotion. Madness...
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

£3million , mere loose change down the sofa to some people

Program on BBC2 last night about how the (super)rich avoid tax.

Simplest way is to reside in Monaco, One woman received

one Billion pounds in dividends - didn't pay a penny uk tax as she lives in Monaco.  Now I'm sure she must give quite a lot away to charities etc - but its more than anyone can sensibly spend in a lifetime!

By Comparison the owner of phones4u only made 11 million tax free.
