It got as far as Chelsea, and has started to come back.  I've been waiting for it to swim past, but its dark now.  The tide has turned so it should pick up speed.

Did you hear about the dead whale Greenpeace dumped on the doorstep of the Japanese embassy in Berlin.  50 foot and 20 ton.  Just what you want in Houx Annexe.

It would make a good bonfire, Lorry.

Just what you want in Houx Annexe.

I found a soggy moggy in the water but of the inlaws house earlier this week, it stank like nothing you could imagine (it had been there for about 2 months) - could rent it out as a pitch reserve.

I sadly heard the whale died at 1900 today, i must admit seeing the whale with the house of parliament in the background was strange.

Paliament?? I'll offer this

Rusty also posted a picture with this post which nearly made me vomit, so I've deleted it so nobody else suffers. Maybe I'm just too squeamish. Apologies Rusty!

I gather Rusty has strong opinions about Parliament!!

Not a problem Smokie, it was pretty disgusting. I just felt it aptly portrayed a strong image of the festering wound we call parliament following the 'sharks' quote and of course 10 pints of Englands finest. ;D

We did actually see the whale on it's route back down the thames on the barge shortly before it's sad demise as my local boozer is right on the Thames just past the QE Bridge.
Pat, one of the locals had actually seen the whale on its route up the Thames earlier and had alerted the cops at that point that there was a problem. Look how long it took for something to happen !! All too late of course.
