Static caravans
« on: January 23, 2006, 09:37:01 am »
Hi all, last year was our first visit to LM and on our walkabout we saw some static caravans in a park. Does anyone know anything about this site, any info would be gratefully received. Thanks.

If there is anything you would like "lost" just leave it in this area during the week, if you would like it "lost" on sunday or monday leave it unatteneded at your campsite.

Where abouts is this static park?

Pikies tend to stay mobile.

Don't think so Lorry, we had an empty caravan next to us in HA for a few days prior to the race last year. Then on race day a load of pikeys turned up and had a bit of lunch etc, did not seem to leave the caravan and then collected stuff up as soon as people left their sites. In fairness they did wait until people had dumped their stuff unlike some stories you hear.

A couple of years back (before when test weekend was pre-qualifying) the whole of Bleu parking was full of "travellers".

Not sure how they got them off in time for race week

I don't know where abouts you saw this, but I'm sure I've seen "static looking" areas inside the circuit around the Houx/HA area (on the opposite side of the road)

I seem to remember it being Audi hospitality a few years back, could it possibly be something like that??

We might all live together but having had to deal with some of these travellers in my professional capacity, they appear to contribute nothing, expect everything to be handed to them and leave others to sort out their mess when the've gone!

There was an area of little trailers behind very large locked gates over on the end of Karting Nord this year.  It's my understanding that they were leased by an outfit similar to Grand Prix Tours and you had to belong to their Group in order to move into one.  I don't remember what group it was though.
