Depends what theyre doing really - sparkies and plumbers take about £160 - £170 a shift, dependant on qualifications and loyalty bonuses and a couple of other things.
My specialist area is Quantity Surveyors, the going rate for an MRICS QS with about 5 years post qualification experience is about the £350 per day mark, again dependant on experience and qualifications, some of them take about £275, some of them you have to push to about the £500 mark....
I'm a recruitment consultant just to be clear, not a consultancy punting people out to work on site - most of my work is done through consultancies, who then charge the client, main contractor, or whoever asks them for the work of the worker that I've supplied - i daresay by the time they've indemnified all of the work, made theyre margins etc that theyre looking at about £600 - 700 per day to the client!
big numbers, none of which help the stadium get built!
the guy that put £22,000 put half his life savings on - his wife nearly divorced him for it....imagine the hassle the missus would give you if you did that!
