A question for Rickmeister
« on: June 05, 2003, 04:12:08 pm »
Hi,

on your site you state:
"On the subject of TVR, Saleen & Spyker, the penalties should be as at Sebring. There will be an inspection this week just in case ... "

Does that mean additional weight and the same air restrictor as at Sebring for TVR ? I take it TVR didn't manage to build the 20 cars required to avoid the penalty. Thanks for your answer.  :-* ;D

I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

Good point, been trying to get some clarification on that point myself.

The word at testing was that the increased penalty was due to the fact that they had two cars entered and therefore exceeded the percentage of road cars built.

The way I understand it is they actually ran with less penalty at Sebring than they did at testing because they only had one car entered (but turned up with two to show willing I believe?), so the racing percentage versus production was less, so to cut a rapidly lengthening story short, I think they now have less penalty than at testing, i.e. the production run has reached sufficient level.

Confused? You will be after this week's episode of .......

I'll let you know more when I get it!

Cheers

Rick
