Flics in "Aire" (Motorway Service Areas)

A friendly warning to all those coming here via motorways.  The flics (gendarmes) have developed a new habit of setting up radar traps in the "Aires" (service areas) so take care to stick to the 50kph limit until you have a clear view!

The one time we've been done we just tried to keep it polite and they "reduced my sentance" by lowering the actual kph I had been doing so I got away with a 90 euro fine. (English car, 72 registration, English licence).
