Hello All
Thing is, and this is the thing, it's the old 25th Wedding Anniversary today and to celebrate (the woman needs a bloody medal) the memsahib and I are off to New York tomorrow for a bit of jollification and brownir=e points earning session prior to the LM jollie.

Now, having been a few times on business and pleasure, i know where to take the dear lady to see all the sights and stuff, it's her first time you see. However, I'm sure there's a few of you out there who know of some special bar where I can redeem my brownie points after I've taken her to Tiffany's.

Any advice?
Any suggestions?

I'll pick up any replies in the hotel.

See you all soon.

Steve

Sugar Bar, Tribeca NYC.
If it\'s good and fast, it won\'t be cheap. If it\'s fast and cheap, it won\'t be good. If it\'s good and cheap, it won\'t be fast.

I took she that must be obeyed last year, we had some very nice meals, you could do worse that go to: -

The Boat House - In Central Park over looking the lake (strange that) cracking sunday brunch
Bull & Bear - Waldorf Astoria - Lexington and 49th
The View - Mariott Marquis (Revolving) - Times Square - also has a bar at the top
Smith & Wollensky (Steak House) - 3rd and 49th

Enjoy

You shouldn't miss this restaurant as a NY-first timer>> CLICK!

Have fun, and congrats. Only 37 days to go untill my 12½ years :-\

[edit] Just read the reviews, maybe not such a good hint on second thought. It used to be okay when I was there in '92 & '98, but apparently it all got too touristic. Pub itself should still be worth a visit, so just have yourself a drink at the bar then - can't go wrong with that, really :-\

Don't know what it's like at night, but the wife and I had a fantastic lunch here a few weeks ago.   The downstairs bar looks tres chic.  ;)
