Does anyone know how long it takes to work from Beausejour to Arnage?

Also, how practical is it to get around the circuit on a bike.

BSJ to Arnage will take about 20 mins brisk walk. Not a great walk if you are bladdered as there are no pavements. You can get a bus from Arnage to Le Mans town centre.

Is that Arnage the village, or Arnage the corner?
A bike is highly recommended. I take mine every year and wouldn't be without it. Take a lock and use it, though.

We always walk to Arnage corner on saturday night, spend the night there and walk back in teh morning.

It is known as the long walk.

Getting there is fine, drink plenty of beer or my choice for the evening red wine and you will be fine, takes about 45 mins i reckon. The walk back is teh killer with the sun getting up and a tired body lugging your coat or whatever from the night you get very very hot and weary, have plenty of water for this bit.

A bit of a trek but worth it and now tradition, for us at least.

Never taken a bike, can't be arsed with getting one down there, making sure its locked up and stuff, but if you have teh space or a bike rack or whatever probably well worth it.

Easy to find as well, just follow the traffic jam, walking is probably as quick as driving!!

You can get a bus to Le Mans from outside the main circuit entrance.
Don't know if you'd call the drivers parade etc. killing time   Cool

much the same, arnarge corner or the town.    if you dont know, be aware that they are not adjacent to each other - prob a good 30 mins walk between the two, depending which bar you fall out off!

The road is not great to walk on, no path ways, so get your thum out and hitch a lift, last year we were picked up by a recovery truck just along from Blue and stood on the flat bed, good way to arrive in Arnage village, got a lift back from a french bloke, absolutly no comprehesion of what we were trying to talk about though!
Reminds me of a bloke who was stopping poeple to do Burnouts out side blue a couple of years ago. He stopped a big Lorry Tractor unit and then decided it would be funny to stand on the fuel tank and wave to everybody - except the truck took off, didnt stop, got faster and faster,  think he may of got to Arnage, certanly didnt see him again!

Some of our Fridays have consisted of walking down to the bar by Arnage station for some breakfast... moving onto the beer at about 11am, and then (if we remember  Wink ), jump on a train into LeMans for the end of the drivers parade and more beer  Grin

Wherever you walk, make sure you walk on the left hand side of the road, so you can see the upcoming traffic. Last thing you want is to be hit by a vehicle from behind, just because you didn't see it coming Undecided

Blooming foriegners keep driving on the wrong side of the road !!! just out of interest is Arnage better/worse  than tetre rouge virage for watching the race at night? found T/R bit like watching tennis....made my neck ache after a while!! and are there beer/chips etc available from mobile catering like at T/R virage? also most importantly are you close and can see the ACTION Huh Grin
