Boring.......I used to like the popping and banging goiing throughr the pits and then the incredible acceletaion and I hasten to add the noise as the cars rejoin the race.......;another thing the ACO/FIA have taken away from the race.....shame on them :(

Apparently, the great Mr Pepsicola told the ACO at the managers' briefing this afternoon that it was dangerous too as drivers will merge with those braking heavily for the Dunlop Chicane and is lobbying to have it changed. Watch this space?

I would have thought that once the concrete barrier is gone, its full; on as always. It didnt create problems at the GP, but bikes dont pit !!

WISHY - You'll still get your popping, banging and whoosing.
Take life by the horns and live it.

Exactly!

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Shouldn't Audi pit less with those trucks? Can't take away the feeling the ACO is doing there upmost to let those German Rings win >:(

There's been two lots of bikes in the last few weeks, the 24 hour moto - which is what the ACO refer to in the link above and where they used the new exit, then the MotoGP where presumably they don't pit unless there is a problem!

Have to say, it makes the grandstand view seem quite different and dull.  Rev-limited all the way up to Dunlop with official on hand complete with radar gun. :(

This extra pit lane beggers the question "Where do they get the cars into Parc Ferme at the end of the race"

It was always a highlight watching the drivers wheelspinning into the pit lane exit opposite the tribunes, and best of all seeing Andy Wallace standing on the roof of the third placed Bentleywaveing to the crowd in 2001
.
Another kick in the nuts for the paying punter I'm afraid.
