MAYDAY,  MAYDAY! - To all Club Arnage members traveling to Le Mans

To cut a *very* long story short, our beloved Grand Fromage (aka
Dave Davies) is  stranded in Sees,  on N138 just north of Alencon.
(approx 40 miles north of Le Mans)

If anyone is passing Sees tomorrow Monday (June 12) afternoon,
and would like to help our Great Cheese PLEASE contact  him on:

However, Just spoke to JPC,  He's stopped with a Ceased Alternator so will miss the Boat.
He will call the Liverpool boys to see if they can help.

Great Cheese certainly will have to get here by tomorrow - its just that *I* thought I had a nice car breakdown story to tell (no clutch since Belgium), but evidently,  Grand Fromage always feels the need to top my stories :-)

I cannot even begin to tell - I think Dave should write a book - "Insult to Injury" - or something. (title is more appropriate that you'd think)

Needless to say he was "just a tad" P1553D off with the breakdown. 

I'll post any update I get.

To be honest Tropicoma is not what  I am thinking about or need right now.  (Though JPC may well benifit from it's calming effects.  )

In all seriousness, there is a train link between Sees and Le Mans, so as a last resort he can hoof it on rail.

the rest are in the middle afternoon, I guess that would be too late.  Only 8.50 GBP, taxi or lift from the station, hope this helps.

or if he can meet you at scrutineering that will be fine, just leaves the car to be fixed and collected. surely the ACO members breakdown service can help here?

JPC is waiting for the AA - apparently it will be about 2 hours!

I should think that they will have room being as there is just Brian, Ian and Jimmy in the Volvo estate.

They were literally just getting on the boat as I spoke to them - do you want me to send them a text with GF's contact number - I did tell them where he was stuck!

It  won't do any harm to let them have the numbers.   Then they can contact GF t see if he is still stuck.
