Sorry Holland, I was cheering for you last night.  :( I wish I had not been so presumptious as to start this thread. It would have been good though.

And as for Mr Ivanov the ref  :o what a plonker.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

This is where I call in for your expertise, is it me or are the refs going nuts with yellow and red cards?
I've seen a fair number of Premeirship games over the past few years on TV over here and its always seemed to me that the British refs "Let 'em play"
,and takes a particularly ugly tackle to get carded.
With these World Cup refs it looks like everytime someone sneezes a ref is whipping out his little sin book.  WTF!  Feel sorry for the Dutch guys, they got hosed by the officiating and some academy award winning dives by the Port's.  That goal of Beckham's in the England game was a thing of beauty though. Just my novice opinion on this subject.

The refs are certainly going nuts this year, and its all because of a FIFA directive to protect the big names.

Oh, so you noticed!  Happy for the French though who swore to me on Saturday morning that France would loose and England would win!
Just shows what they know.
