Hello All, I have made it to London!

Witnessed two not so fortunate cyclists on my way into London. A stark reminder how dangerous our roads are.

The weather was YES APPAULING! That storm hit just as I got to Reading and relented as I approached Hammersmith. Soaking wet when I arrived.

Recieved a Thankyou letter from Great Ormond Street today in the post which was nice.

Thanks once again to all of you who sponsored me.

Rick.

Well done Rick  ;D  Did you get some thunder and lightening to help you on your way?

I hope the other cyclists you refer to are OK and that you manage to get dry!

Great stuff I'll go and dust off the bike later, Piglet is insisting we go for a short ride tomorrow.

When I worked at Cheswick we had a secretary who cycled to and from the Chelfonts each day. She looked a little damp on occasions.... But very well done and we must try to get the bikes out for Le Mans, I’ve taken mine for the last two years and spend the week after preQual riding each day and yes I did get pulled for exceeding the speed limit in Arnage, the nice police chappy said I was a danger to the public and should ride in the road not the cycle ways…  ;)

I got terrible chalfonts from cycling, they made me damp too, so had to give it up.

BTW Rick, I heard about the incident this morning and I did wonder. Well done!
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Cycled from Farringdon to Paddington 3 miles then, Cycled from the station to Home 3 more miles.

Cycling in London scared the cr*p out of me! Especially when I saw the two cyclists being "Bagged Up" :'(

I will certainly not ride my racing bike into London again. It is just to fast and fragile for the poor surfaces.

That is a Kryptonite New York Lock they will pay out £10,000 if you can bust a link or the lock!

As my bike is worth in the region of £6,000 I want to ensure no thieving pikies can get their hands on it!

He was wearing like BA in one of the other shots but the focus was way out!
