Ouch! Very harsh words mate, perhaps a bit too strong?

Andy - thank you - indeed they were - particularly this bit:

Mark, you'd be better served if you actually read the thread, rather than pontificating from your uninformed view.  you've already demonstrated how little you know about operational aircraft.

However, I'm not going to get a head of steam over it - my intent was just to offer a bit of optimistic banter, not to trade personal insuklts, so I won't (do the latter).

Whilst on the aeronautical thread the Goodwood Revival this weekend featured eight ... yes eight Spitfires which parked on the infield and then did a tight formation flypast.

It was real lump-in-the-throat stuff as the planes flew over what was an operational WW2 airfield just as if they were returning from a sortie.

Not a dry eye in the house.

I though the Ray hanna Tribute did the old boy proud, though how many CAA rules were thrown in the bin was anyone's guess. Terrific!
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

That was 'Ferrari Spider v1.0'.  There's been an upgrade, we're on 'Ferrari Spider v2.0' now (although he's been quiet of late).

Yer I was wondering where the cantankerous old devil had been of late, last seen being cheeky to Mr Brown. Hope he's okay? Anyone have any news?

1985 over brands for european gp.very impressive.put it up the argies in 91.there was also a giant seaplane.the caterlina i think.bit slower than the vulcan though.i remember seeing a spitfire at the first patrick lindsey remorial meeting at siverstone.we were in the racing club.and it came over tha infield so low you couldnt see it behind the buildings.better 1 spitfire than all the red arrows .
