Oops - yes. Liberated.
Anyway, Paris - took my son several times. As a youngster, we went to the Bois de Bologne Park - a great zoo, bike hire around the woods and also there were static vehicles to climb over. I remember a fire engine and a twin engined aircraft although they might not be there now. Rope bridges in the park hanging from the trees were also cool.
As he got older he came with me for the street events around the Pompidou Centre. theres generally enough stuff including fire eaters, magicians etc. to keep you amused. First time we encountered the FNAC stores also in Les Halles. eg video / books / music / demos etc.
The next age band included watching the public speakers - always a good laugh as some are in English and the heckling is to be seen.
The next stage was the Art Galleries and then he was able to go by himself. That developed into living in France while attending Rennes University ( where you find other juvenile amusements ) to the current Le Mans 10 day marathon in June where the amusement is known to us all.
If you are going just for the weeknd then time is at a premium so its got to be town centred, and you might find that just walking will bring something along.
Had one difficulty with son early one evening and that was explaining why the lady in the short skirt had a 5 o'clock shadow. C'est la vie. Sorry to ramble.
