Didnt we see that one already a few days ago?
Fran - good girl - indeed you did, when I stuck a link to it amongst a few others at
http://www.clubarnage.com/forum/index.php?topic=6035.0The Harrier one was filmed a few months ago now and has been circulating around since then. Now it has finally hit the news, when a journalist spotted it on youtube and then the usual with uninformed reporting started on BBC and Sky. Typical is "the serviceman, who at first seems unaware of the approaching jet, is seen to duck as the Harrier roars past him". Same with Sky - "soldiers play chicken with jet plane". No - he is an RAF serviceman - not a soldier - he looks back twice before it overflys - he knows it is coming, where it is coming from and his mate is filming it approaching it as it approaches and departs. He might not have expected it to be
quite that low. Whether it was filmed on a "normal" take off or fully set up with the aircrew, is one for those were there to know and others not to worry about. For me, the measured MOD response to the news hounds is, IMHO, quite appropriate.
