He is pretty good at downhill racing too. He finished on the podium at the Macavalanche this year. That's a mass start race from the top of Ben Nevis to the bottom. No set route, find your own way down. Pretty hardcore. A very talented guy.

Biking vids Kevin?

This is a gentle downhill:

And this one is a pistol. Can't we have these commentators for RLM? I’ll have to listen to it again, but I think at some stage he screams “how does he sit down, his bollocks are so big!”

I suppose he could put them in his lap. Or someone elses if his luck's in.

Something you would never hear someone driving a modern LM car say:

'Cyclists everywhere'

Seen that film before but never tire of seeing such evocative images, thanks for reposting it Phil.

Nice one Phil, fantastic, it's few years since I last watched that.

I can relate to the engine noise alright, - but not the gearing. It looks like any hint of a corner and he's into second gear, even taking Tertre Rouge and Arnage in first! My old box would be sitting next to me in the passenger seat if I tried shifting it into first at anything above 10 mph. - in fact, the original owners manual states, rather optimistically in my opinion, that first should only be used for hill starts. I got on the track one year, and was surprised just how slack the curves really were, I could easily have stayed in fourth gear from the Ford Chicane to Tetre Rouge.

Great clip.

Stefan Bellof lapping the infamous Nordschleife in 6 minutes 11 seconds.

I think the words 'Balls to the wall' sum up anybody that laps the 'Ring at an average speed of 125mph.

RIP Stefan. You will not be forgotten.
