Whats with the blue skies and bright shiney thing?

It's been like that quite a lot lately. So much so, that last Wednesday it was far too blue and shiny to go into work, so I turned left instead of right and spent the day playing in the woods. I picked my daughters up from school several hours later carrying my broken bike, covered in mud, sweat, a huge ear to ear smile and with a nice open wound down one arm dripping blood everywhere.
The eldest, looking round, asked why she couldn't have a nice normal Dad just like her friends. I just winked and said that one day she would be glad she didn't have a normal dad and that I would take them for blackjack flavoured milk shakes on the way home to make up for it.
You need days like that every now and then. I call them 'reset button days'.
