750 Euro fine reduced to 90 Euro
« on: June 17, 2003, 10:33:03 am »
One of our team managed to get stopped for 137 kph in a 4x4 and was initially fined 750 Euros.  However, as he did not have his driving licence due to recent change of address and doc not yet rtnd.  The kind Police Officer reduced the fine to 90 Euros and let him on his way!!

Anyone else that lucky ?

No evidence produced other than veiled threat that they did not require evidence that he was doing 137 in a 90 zone .....

We had similar at St.Suzanne on the n157 on Thursday.

Our mate"Fat Boy" was stopped for doing 95 in a 60 limit.

The only plroblemwas that he could not find his driving licence and was threatened with a 800 euro fine plus 90 for speeding.

After a trip to the local nick and a fax to the DVLA,they let him go with just the speeding fine.
