I'd like to know what is the significance of the pillowcase hanging out of the window of the house?

And its a rair one, the BBC use to use these for horse racing, as camera mounts. And if you look close its got James bond style rear number plates!  ;D

But what is the car on the right at the back? - BMW or Alfa ????

Car on right in background is indeed a BMW 1800 Tii. D Safari was probably used as chase car/parts fetcher/crew transportation, we use an Estate car for that very purpose, easier to get around than a van- good to see things are as they have always been!
The D does make a great camera car, the local Citroen specialist has a D and a CX safari with rear body lopped off for camera work. They look cool and hire out for a fortune.

Right colour wrong country- they're Porsches. School boy error- detention and a week at LM Classic for you. See me at the end of the lesson. ;D
