Nick names/Usernames or 'Handles'?
« on: July 13, 2007, 11:31:55 pm »
This has been bothering me for while. When I say 'bothering' I mean it's intregued me for some time.

My user name reflects the first half of my postcode after my initials. Although I haven't been there for a while so perhaps I should change to JJPO10!

How did everyone else select their username?  There are some obvious ones and they are easily identifiable. But there are some really perverse ones.

Come on, tell how you got / chose them.

If this has been asked before, I do apologise.

Jerry

At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.

I don't do GREEN, I've got a 4x4

Go figure.

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Nick, 1st 4 letters of my christian name, liv, first 3 letters of my surname.

My dog on the other hand, thinks he's called 'oh for f**ks sake' rather than Ross.

Did you not know that you can change the text above you avatar, you still sign on the same but the name is different. You can also change your email address.

My real signon is RCutler, a couple of years back we had a "who are you really" Some of us changed to our complete name.

I've never really thought of using any other name than my own. Nicknames are best when others come up with it, because that reflects how other people see you. Although I'm not sure I'm happy with "Wrong Way", the nick name that has been given to me last year after taking a bit of a detour to Le Mans. This year at Sebring somebody called me "Texas Pete". I like that better, all it took was wearing a cowboy hat.
