Humber Destruction!
« on: July 17, 2007, 07:29:00 pm »
According to the Commer I learn that a Humber Arrow is to be destroyed in Heartbeat on Sunday. A green one. With twin headlights. Like VQ Daves. For no good reason other than the ghoulish and wanton appetites of your average Heartbeat veiwer.  :(
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Mr Zarse.... what are your views on banger racing?

Judging by my last comment 'It's scandulous'.  I'm all in favour of using these cars to the fullest...................but they ought being used to their fullest.

If you want to do a 'crash--bang' do it. but in something that is almost irreplaceble!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be like taking a Muira or 256 Dino down the oval to see if you can keep out of trouble!

No further comments, I flabbergasted.............................................

JJKT15, glad you agree, I HATE BANGER RACERS!  They are morons, why smash rusty or in some cases rust free classics. Their websites show how proud they are of the things they have smashed, the older or rarer the better.
I will post a link tomorrow if anyone is interested. The Holden HQ Monaro hurt most, rustfree and the twats smashed it. That could have been in the Pig Pen stables for LM next year!! and the crysler chargers...... fcukin twats! and the datsuns, and the crowns.... oh I HATE THEM

:o :o yikes i need to sit down, is it too early for drinking?

Heartbeat? More like Wantondestructionofbeautifulclassicsutw@sbeat!!!

Absolutely pitiful, i for one will never watch ITV again, luckily i never did anyway but this does it, i shall detune the telly. The Golden Arrow lives!!

As for banger racing, do not get me started. When i was selling the old Humber, the MK2 i had banger racers offering me 3 times teh money i was getting from others but no i said, eff orf, i held out and accepted tuppence from a chap who was going to get it going again and use it on the road. Your banger racer in general is a degenerate and have so much to answer for, so many classic lumps of british iron from Jags, Rovers and Humbers all gone for the fun of a pikey on a dirt oval, grrrrrrrrrrr.

Banger racers = vandals.

It's not quite that simple but they have destroyed some pretty nice metal over the years, Rover V8 Coupes, Jag Mk10s and the like. On the other hand they have rid the world of Sierras and Mk1 Modeos so it's not all bad.

Mid 90's Rovers are relly popular at the moment.. So the boys tell me.

If you follow the above link and get down to the 'c's.

I can hardly bring myself to say it, but an example of a very familiar  van is featured and would appear was destroyed by Joe Mallarkey in suffolk.

Crikey there's a coincidence. Last week I was at the Honda F1 factory and guzzled down a yummy Gallones icecream served from this van's sucessor- a nice old Bedford CF. It was much more interesting the the F1 stuff.

Can't help thinking that this is where the 1981 Seville I had stolen from my garage seven years ago ended up. :( :( :(
