Catchpole! you are a lucky lucky sod. I am green I tell you! Green!!  :)

Nice shots though, I especially like the landing one.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

A mate of mine just sent me this email. He works as a controller at RAF Waddington.

Nick

XH558 flew at Waddington today for it's CAA approval, let's just say that i was right underneath the display line, a position that money can't buy.  The thing flew 100ft over the top, I could hear and feel the vortices!  Mission complete, I can now leave the RAF!  I'm expecting that you'll never speak to me again,

Gav

The bastard.

PS

Display authorisation has now been graned. 1st display at the RAF waddington airshow. THIS WEEKEND

PPS I can't go. Double bastard.

Is it gone from Bruntingthorpe for good now? I live very close and have been working from home for the last few weeks with camera at the ready at all times. These are recent shots.

Had the pleasure of seeing a DC3 on the apron at Bournemouth / Hurn this morning, it's apart of the final tour circuit by Air Atlantic - unfortunatly no bookings are availble, might try and pitch up for cancelations though.

As far as I know the mighty Vulc will still live at Brunty, just up to Waddington for the display.

I would think a life at a live RAF Station would not be viable for her anyway as her role in future will be basically commercial. She will be a Historic Training Aid of some sort and the TVOC are keeping her as theirs as they fully deserve to after all the blood sweat and tears they went through getting her alive and certificated

There is lots of information on the TVOC site for all to enjoy:

http://www.tvoc.co.uk/

Me, I wont be at Waddington this weekend but will see her somewhere this summer, then I will rejoice.

Justice done!

My dad used to fly in V Bombers, so they are close to my heart.

It's fantastic to see one flying again. Hopefully, I'll catch it in the summer.

Just superb!

Just back from Waddington.  No pictures as I only had my phone with me and they aren't very good.

Simply WOW!  Lancaster and Vulcan flying together - at Waddington!

A huge thank you to the Vulcan team; I am now off to send them some money to keep her flying.

What a fantastic day, the Vulcan was amazing it blow me away. It also did a flypast with the Lancaster from the BBMF, that has to be the highlight of day.

However the low point of the day was having to sit in the car park for two and half hours trying to get out.
