So you're saying jersey can afford it but you can't??  I thought there were lots of rich tax exiles there... ;)

It will be in the vicinity anyway as it is doing the Jersey display.

>Martini...

How's that for bad timing? I'm in Jersey over the August bank holiday and the display is on 11th September.

We should be careful about this re-appearance of such a great aircraft.  Given current problems with aircraft stuck in hangers and no money in the armed forces, they will probably grant it operational wings and send it to Afganistan for our boys to fly.

And the reason they are rich is because... they don't share it...

We have the red arrows etc for our Battle of Britain display which then goes on to Jersey. We are being asked for £12k for the Vulcan to do a flyover!

It will be in the vicinity anyway as it is doing the Jersey display.

>Martini...

I thought you lived in Jersey Martin?? ;D

WOW!  The Vulcan flew right over my office this afternoon followed very quickly by the Red Arrows.  Possibly the best afternoon I've ever had in this office.  ;D

Saw it at Farnboro this afternoon.

Amazing!

The first thing I knew about its imminant appearance was the noise from the north end of the runway

Going again Sunday, can't wait for 14:45

That's ok then, would be very frustrating to be off looking at something else & hear the roar in the distance  ;D I speak from experience  :-[ ;D

Should be a good show & probably busy after RIAT being cancelled, when we heard RIAT was cancelled we changed our plans & went to Duxford instead & that was a sellout. so Farnborough could be packed

It will be interesting to compare yesterday [Friday] with tomorrow [Sunday]

The whole place seemed half empty as Friday was a trade day.

We were in a chalet just by the "piano keys" so plenty of action as we at lunch

Does she still do the low pass then off at 90 degrees straight up number or is she too old to get it on? Would love to see her do it again.
