Although I was in Long Beach the same weekend, I decided not to bother as there were huge crowds mostly there for the Toyota GP on Sunday.  I 'heard' (and saw) some of the Friday qualifying whilst looking over the dear old Queen Mary parked just over the way.

Seems like you missed a good race Steve.

I know it's a shorter race but the top five cars only had 5 seconds seperating them and there was only 20 seconds seperating the top 9.

Yes, only an hour and a half race!  Had to catch a plane early Saturday evening, so would have been a rush back to LAX with the Pontiac rental  >:D

I got a written warning from the boys in blue  -failure to yield   :-[

The DfH guys managed 2500 miles in 5 days without a single pull!!  ;D

Yup, just a warning.  By a motorcycle cop.  I guess he decided my innocent face and British accent was too much hassle for a fine.
