Doesn't Andy Wallace live near Le Mans?
Never argue with an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Mark,

You certainly had a good excuse missing me at Goodwood: I wasn't there !!!!

I don't forget your property request, just try to find a good bargain, better a field or a small house, just like a little farm or an holiday-house...

... concerning texan girl she promised me to be in le Mans next june  :) and I gonna do my best to make her come in November  8)

BTW the way do I have to book for your crew at the Flambadou for the saturday night in November ? Do you want to taste another time cinnamon boiled eggs with ginger bread ??  :P

Gilles sometimes words get mixed up in the translation. If you ask Smokie I am sure he will metaphorically put a fatherly arm round your shoulder and explain why what you have written in your post is amusing to us Brits. This one is delightful, but best not tell the girl...
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

You're not fair because I never laugh at your French !!! Probably because you don't speak French at all when you're in Le Mans !!!

BTW it's an hard job to attract girls and women to racing events so I'ld better to be congratulated AND imitated better than laughed !!!

Last point: I still wait to meet Paula the Drooler who seems to be just a fantasm !!!

That's a fair point Gilles, and my french would definitely qualify for a good laugh. However you mustn't take offence as none was intended!

Congratulations old boy...on the Texan.

But don't hold your breath for Paula...

Sorry to drag this away from Gilles' efforts at giving a Texan girl some satisfaction, but.........there was a field for sale on the Arnage road, just before the level crossing (heading from circuit to Arnage)

Dunno any more.

Now about this Texan girl???????

We're not laughing at your English skills Gilles, was only amused by the unintended consequence of your phrase! Apologies tho, je suis tres desole.

I do try to speak French in Le Mans, I even bought a cassette tape called Easy to Learn French. I was supposed to be the next Molliere within six weeks. Didn't quite work tho!

Gilles
Top man !

I always try and get a girl to come with me.
It's more fun that way.
I managed it this year Gilles.  ;D

Best wishes on the Texan lass.
Let me know if you need a hand
whilst trying to make her come.

Now about your other mission...
the main points
1) must be right alongside the track
2) must be accessable when the track is in use
3) must have small house with garage or space for a garage
4) must have enough land for at least 10 cars
5) must have water and electricity connections
6) must be not too many euros

Can you send me more details about the November race ?
I had a link but I've lost it now...

I'm not sure about the cinnamon boiled eggs with ginger bread  but I think I'll go for the escargos next time.

A bientot
Mark

Yes this house is still for sale...

... I even already post about it. This is the house on the Indianapolis corner, where historically the #7 ferrari landed in its garden in the Le Mans movie. You may be able to compare the 71' protection with just sand hills and todays' one with fences  >:(
