I guess Lynx or Termie will be the first to know!

Hopefully they'll post the info as soon as they have it??

I'll ask, but John normally tells me when it's been decided - I am on the mailing list.

It is the Classic British Welcome held at St Saturin on Friday of Le Mans week. There is always a nominated car club of the year.

Termie's friday cruise started there.

I'm sure others will describe it better…….

Its sort of like a summer fete type atmosphere but heavily centred around cars and those marques associated with Le Mans history. Each year is a different marque.

I attended the Lotus one a few years back.

A get together on the Friday before the race at a place called Saint Sturnin, just north of Le Mans.

Everyone turns up in their nice motors and parks up for an informal car show. There is food and drink on offer. And usually they manage to persuade some people to bring along some real exotic or historic cars to be on display.

Don't worry if you car does not 'fit', as they just park us out of sight and you are free to wonder around and dribble on the more fancy stuff.

Website seems a little out of date…….

Le Mans is for the week......not just 24hrs!

They do not update the web site until about 4-6 weeks before LM weekend, It's great afternoon, lots of nice cars and few gems, Jaz bands, food and beer.  Well worth a visit.

No, two different things. However, the cars used by the drivers do congrugate at the Classic British Welcome, before departing for the town centre for the "Grande Parade des Pilotes" which is what you're talking about.
