Hm, I'm not sure the orange will match with the red, but it's Le Mans, not a beauty contest. I say go for it!

Better still either re-paint the VW thingy or sell it and buy a proper sportscar ;D  In blue of course.

Lotus/Westie XI is one of my favourite looking cars of all time and I'd love to have one (plus the garage space to store it, next to my Frogeye.

I'd leave out the stripes, it probably won't look to good on the red car :)

As for the striping on red; replace the orange with a mid-grey colour and replace the blue with white.
