Le Mans Classic
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:54:33 am »
Hello again friends.
My new job is preventing me from travelling to the main event this June so I've decided to go to the Classic in July. Rather than drive I can get a flight from Leeds / Bradford on the Thursday into Paris CDG then I'll get the train to Le Mans. I will be toting my rucksack and tent on my back.
Anyone else travelled to Le mans this way?
Anyone know which campsites are open for the classic?
Anyone else going?

Steve

It's MB or KN as far as camping is concerned.

Should be fairly easy, lots do it.  Dobbo has some Classic MB passes for sale on  SorS if you're quick!  If carrying a tent's a bore, I can lend you one (I have loads of spares!) plus blow-up bed etc - we are also on MB.

Thats very kind of you to offer - I may just take you up on that. I'll just see how the land lies here then get back to you.
Many thanks for the offer

I don't need to know until a day or two before so just let me know either way when your plans are in place.

I’ll be on Maison Blanche as well Steve (arriving Friday morning). You are very welcome to come and join us for a beer or whatever. The plus side of there not being many campsites open is that most people will be congregated together on MB.

Thanks folks, I'll probably fly to Paris, train to LM arriving Friday then I'll hire a car in LM so i've got transport. I notice that on www.classiclemans.com all the maison blanche tickets are sold out but they have them for Beausejour. In all my years at LM I've never been on that site - do you know what it's like?
