By the cringe Neil, thats right up my strasse.

Second Generation (1970 to 1981) Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with TH350 auto (not 4 on the floor), AC option, no heated rear screen, remote controlled drivers door mirror, AM / FM radio with cassette, electric windows. Seats in Camel Tan cloth.
Engine - 6.6 litre V8.

It's probably a later one (1979)

Xr3i ? The first one which is the MK 3 one.

The first one was just an XR3 I think, the injection and the 5th gear came a bit later if my memory is correct.

My dad traded in his BRG Stag for one, and it was the first car I drove to Le Mans, with my parents, after being a passenger in the stag for a few years.

Only been a passenger once since, when i went with my brother in his bright yellow Alfa sud Sprint that only he could find 5th gear in.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.
