Tis the crank sensor – got to take timing belt off to get the cam cover off then get in to sort it!
I have to admit, I'm not really sure what a crank sensor is. I'm pretty sure I've got a crank, so how clever does a crank sensor have to be? Where's it going to go for godsake?
Now however, after seeing Nicks pic (it's not you Nick, is it?), I can see what it's all about, and they look like they're a bugger to change. I can only assume that this enterprising mechanic is attempting a sort of keyhole surgery approach, I hope he hasn't overdone the WD40.
