On behalf of everyone at the Association for International Cancer Research, I would like to say a big "thank you" to all the members of Club Arnage who contributed to the wonderful donation we received recently. As you know, AICR funds cutting edge cancer research projects all over the world including the UK, USA, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia and many more countries. We fund research into any type of cancer with the only deciding factor being "is this research of the highest quality"?

We are delighted that the members of Club Arnage have chosen AICR as one of your charities as it looks like we have a good geographical fit with many of you. One of my colleagues is in contact with Doris regarding the cheque handover so hopefully we can gain some national and international publicity that will benefit all of us.

Thanks once more and I hope you have a successful Le Mans next weekend. If there is any information you would like, or anything else we can do for you, please let me know via the AICR website or leave me a message here.

Best wishes,

Hi Jack

Thank you for the message.

We are running our charity auction again at Le Mans and hope to raise even more this year, so we look forward to sending you another cheque when the funds have been collected!

Hi jp,

That's great Smiley Doris has promised to take some photographs so that we can add a page all about the Club on our website when the races are over. I'll follow the news coverage with interest and see if I can spot you.

All the best,

Jack.

Hello Jack,

Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your message.

It means an awful lot to me.

I lost my Mother to Cancer and I'm going to loose my brother to Pancreatic Cancer.
Of course I'm not alone others here have had first hand encounters with Cancer too.

If you have looked around CA you will see we don't appear to take life or ourselves that seriously.
However, I think it is fair to say we do take the work  of the organisations like AICR very seriously indeed.

Best regards,
Tom.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear the news about your Brother. In this job I hear all too many similar stories but the progress we are making is very real. More and more people are being successfully treated but unfortunately there is still a way to go before we beat it. It's 20 years since I lost my own Mother to cancer and that's a large part of why I do what I do.

I saw this at the weekend:

I'm sure the auction will be a great success - and I imagine the party is going to be too Smiley

Thanks again to everyone - I look forward to hearing how it all goes.

Best wishes,

Jack.

Hi Jack,

I'm a bit slow at the moment.  JPC just informed me of your post.

Glad to see you made it to the open forum.   Smiley
