You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Got home at 16:30 yesterday very tired and dusty. Thanks to all for a fantastic week in our CA enclave which turned out to be a perfect example of friends sharing and enjoying each others company.

Paddy/DfH, as usual, absolutely brilliant, thanks guys.

Nick, what a star. BBQ bombs spectacular, the funniest thing all week.

Good news that Mark is OK with no permanent damage.

The only downer from the week is the cars getting keyed. Mine isn't too bad but Doris's Alpha and the Merc are a mess. Bastards.

BTW. Are moderaters allowed to change log on names? What ever happened to Vegas rules?

We arrived back at 10.30 last night.  What a weekend!  I'm really glad to be in work today!  I can't thank everyone enough - if i miss anyone then please know you're just as responsible for the melans enjoying the weekend as The Brethren, DfH, The Zarses, JPC (glad everyone ok), Robspot, Andy, Nick, Barry, Brad and my lovely Melans - another weekend to remember  Shocked some embarrassing moments but all ones to look back and laugh at!  Can't wait to party with you all again soon! Got home after towing the DFH bar back to the netherlands last night at about 9 pm, bloody trip took us 12 hours. But we got back safe and sound and absolutely shattered. Thanks to everyone for making the week what it was, it was different beeing so far away from most of you guys, but we made do. The brethren DJ battle was the bomb, really good night that was. The DFH party, good as per normal. Tropi pong by Mark (glad you and your buddies are OK) and the two containers of tropicoma we finished on sunday, great as usual. Still hungover now and thank god I do not have to go in to work today, we'll see about tomorrow. Time to clear up the mess!

When you make an announcement like you did in front of Team Zarse, all Vegas rules are negated. I'm sure nobody has any pictures though  Evil

MIA Melan checking in.

HUGE thanks to all who made this an amazing week - The Melans, The Brethren, The Zarses, all my DfH buddies (especially Max for getting me so drunk on Bundy OP that I bought the Corvette wheel and have limited recollection of anything that happened at the DfH party once the auction was over Roll Eyes), Brad, Andy, Barry, Tom, Nick, Uncle Tom Cobbly and all.

Off now to see if the black circles under my eyes will wash off.   Undecided

Arrived Home yesterday at 23:30 via the Dieppe-Newhaven ferry.
I Spent almost the whole time longing on deck in one of the few deckchairs enjoying the sun until about 5 miles from the port when it clouded over.

Then a 6 hour journey back to Newcastle. I'd reccomend this route as its only 3 hours in France and even Rouen wasn't bad with Satnav (they seem to be building a new bridge which will probably make it easier still).

Yes, it's like mutually assured destruction, or the Deer Hunter if you prefer. If you tell everyone about that terrible thing I did, then I'll tell them about your own major transgressions, which in turn will drag others into it, multiplying until eventual mass annihilation occurs. This could become one big goatfuck. Evil

Terrible things. Such terrible terrible things...  Wink

I'd go along with that, too.

We did the Newhaven-Dieppe crossing and the drive on the French side was good. Even Rouen was painless.

And once we got bored of the peage, south of Rouen, the country roads provided a fast cruise with nice scenery.

Garyfrogeye and I had a great run back across France from the hotel in Normandy, the road to Falaise was like something from a movie, great stuff

So much happened that this is going to be one of the hardest LMs to beat ever for me, so I prolly won't but thanks to all I came across during it.

T'was great to share with some of the finest people on the planet, thanks guys.

I got in at 03.15 this morning (and can't believe I'm back on the bloomin 'pooter already, must be mad as well as senile)

Paddy and friends, a magnificent party guys, thanks for doing it for us all

Many thanks to Paddy, Roy and Marius for the DfH party. Not forgetting Max who collectively got me slightly pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!

JPC and the auction were great. If I knew then of the 'prang', I wouldn't have believed it.

It was great to meet old friends and make new ones.

My visit during the week to HA proved very enlightening!!  3 piece suites, piano etc.  Brilliant.
