Greetings from Wheelchair City whence my nurse (chap, cute) has just connected up the laptop for me so I'm connected for the first time since the accident and am reading all your messages and hundreds of e-mails for the first time.  Thanks to all of you for your kindness to me and Mr T (60 on Wednedsday!)  A better bunch of mates you couldn't wish to have in times of trouble. :-* :-* :-*

Hurrah - welcome back to the world of communication!   ;D ;D ;D  Was wondering when you'd manage to get access to a computer -nice to have you back here.  So, wheelchair mobile, back on the net now, what's next, and how are you feeling?

Bored is the over-riding feeling, to be honest!  Happily I've had hardly any pain throughout the whole thing, except when the physio gets his hands on me - a necessary evil in the circs.  With luck I should be self sufficient enough by Christmas to at least be home by then for a few days.  This place certainly has all the facilities I could need, and I should be starting in the pool next week when the plaster comes off the  left leg.  Great to be back in touch again after all this time.

That seemed to be the target.  Home for christmas, running around by June.  And fame - CAs own Evel Knieval, but try jumping a few less buses next time

Best present you could have hoped for eh Debs? A night in your own bed. 4 days in hospital did my head in.

PS I hope the french bum wipers are better designed than the british ones. And I'm not talking about the dishy nurses  ;)

Le Mans - the how you get there is not quite as important as being there.

What a lovely way to brighten up our cold rainy day in England. Seeing you posting here agian has made me smile.
Now, when are you going to get that Micra resprayed?
Ian has really been brilliant keeping us all abreast of the situation, from the very earliest days right up till you grabbed the laptop.
Brilliant to hear from you.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Gary

Lack of pain must mean that someone got the dosage of recreational drugs right!  I should imagine that you have been bored competely fartless, particularly outside visiting times etc, but at least you can now access the erudite load of crap that gets spouted here on one subject or another to amuse, entertain and join back in with the CA fold.

Ian has done a truly magnificent job of keeping us up to date with what has been going on, while he has been running back and forth at your whim. All the best and, for goodness sakes, play on the disability for all its worth and get the ACO to give us all concessionary entry tickets to the circuit and stands.....we won't misbehave....much...

All the best,

Mark

Deb,

Fabulous to have you back posting. WE HAVE REALLY MISSED YOU.

You'll have to give us a regulary update as Ian is knackered now from the to-ing and fro-ing.

See if you can get the French version of the 'Green Card', it's suprising where you can get to. Keep the wheelchair, access almost anywhere with a 'helper'

Great to have you back.

Great to see you back Deb, you had us all really worried about you.

Ian has done a fab job at keeping us up to speed on your progress and (it seems from a distance) keeping himself sane.

Happy Birthday Mr T - is your birthday this wednesday?

Best wishes to both of you!

Yes, 60 on Weds - two days older than the heir to the throne. HMQ and my mum were up the duff (technical term, I think!) at the same time. Even if termie had been fit, well and home we wouldn't have done much - I'm famously not a party animal! As it is, I expect to visit her for lunch, then home and enjoy a quiet evening with three whingeing cats!
