Well that was a grand sunny afternoon out in Huntingdon.  A brief walk from home, buy a beer at the pub, stand outside and 20 minutes later Lola machinery thunders along the ring road.  John Surtees driving a new Lola T70 (yes - a new one...), Dickie Attwood in an old Lola Formula Junior plus a few other notables lilke Calum Lockie, Anthony Reid etc.  The new LMP2 coupe was there looking very nice too, ready for next season after its surprise outing at Silverstone.  A whole bundle of other cars, Lola MkI, Jackie Stewart's Indy car, Mansell's old Newman-Haas car (with suitable tribute to Mr N on the side) all made for a good spectacle, both on the "track" and in the "paddock"
Then a mill amongst the huge throng in the centre of town, listening to Tony Jardine interviewing Martin Birrane and then better still, Eric Broadley and John Surtees on the balcony of the town hall - both on good form.  A bite to eat and a closer look once the crowd had died down a bit, then home for tea.  A fine Sunday indeed.
