Toyota back to LM

Well, kind of anyway.

The Dome chassis was good, we know toyota can build a quick engine so it should win right?

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

They should just hand it over to Mr. Lammers, and we'll see what he can do with it.  8)

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Quite right. The All-Japanese effort may attract sponsors from the Far East, but an injection of seasoned European driving experence might make the difference. Jan L certainly qualifies there!

Good to see - looks so much like the one from the 90's.....

Not wishing to dissapoint but I had insider news that the news of Toyota returning is incorrect. I could still be wrong though.

Will enquire more next week as working at Toyota for a motorsports simulator.

With a F1 team wasting a small fortune, and the world in recession and not buying cars, it does seem a bit brave to have a go at Le Mans with a converted milk float ;D (the car is rumoured to be a hybrid)

Another major entrant would be good.

A hybrid is nice, but it won't be taken up in the end result, so it is running for bacon and beans as we say in freeky deeky dutch land.

Would be nice to see it at Le Mans though, specially with Jan Lammers behind the wheel. But if I am not mistaken he is going to drive with Horag racing again next year in LMS, not sure about Le Mans.

As for involvement of the F1 team in Cologne, inside information (Man behaving badly, our toyota engineer) told us that the rumour to take toyota back to Le Mans was circulated to put pressure on F1 to make sure the standard engine will not make an entrance in a few years.
I have given up on being on facebook and myspace, I kept mixing them up and invited people to come on Myface!

I suspect if Toyota choose to do it with a Hybrid there may just be a late adjustment to the rules...... Or maybe they will run it deliberately slow in 2009 so the rules package they get for 2010 will allow them to walk over the opposition  :o
