That said, "As much as 10 centimetres of snow, mixed with ice pellets and freezing rain and rain is expected all day. The biggest problem will be blustery winds, which are expected to blow at 50 to 80 km/h" does not augur particularly well for a veteran replica! 

Looking at dates, if you are heading over for Le Mans, and can come a few days early, you really should come across to the Shuttleworth Collection near Bedford, for their Summer Air Display on 7 June - http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mus/uk/shut/shutlwth.htm#exhibits - a better atmosphere and flying display of aircraft (all the collection's aircraft are maintained in airworthy condition) from pre-WW1 to WW2 you will not find anywhere else...let me know if it's a possibility

  Hi  Mark, Thanks for fixing the link. Shuttleworth sounds great. Usually too much to do but I will keep it in mind.
