Just booked for this year ... and am in Bleu Nord. For the last 7 years I've been in HA or Houx itself. Have to say I've never really explored much of the roads/campsites on "the other side" so.....

With reference to GoogleMaps....
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=&g=le+mans&ie=UTF8&ll=47.946678,0.20565&spn=0.010693,0.019226&t=h&z=16&lci=com.panoramio.all

Where are the entrances to BN ?
Whats the best way in & out ?

Camping entrance arrowed in red. Combined parking and camping entrance in blue.
If you turn right on leaving by the (red) camping entrance, you can get to Arnage village avoiding the traffic between Maison blanche entrance and the Porsche Curves roundabout.

The alternative route to Arnage village has, in recent years been closed while the race is taking place. This is to allow a clear route for emergency vehicles.

Yup, it's one way towards Arnage, hence "turn right on leaving"  Wink

The best place to camp is by is next to the airfield perimeter  near the bushes/trees just left of the minus sign on the posted map.

This is high ground and sandy so well drained.  Camped there twice and loved it. But that is before all the marked pitches etc. The two years we were the it rain heavily the week before, the lower part where three are was waterlogged, we were dry Grin

You can also see through telephoto the testing of cars on the runway. That Panoz was my alarm clock!!!

When we all meet. I'll tell you a few stories about the antics on there, as I do not want to antagonise nationalities in a public forum Grin

At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.

I don't do GREEN, I've got a 4x4

We must have broken a few rules in the last few years as its been used both ways on many a shopping mission by me and other shopping pilots. A memorable moment is being overtaken (while driving responsibly in a rural area) by a French 4x4 with a horse trailer on the back, horse looking out the back and doing way over the 30k I was doing in the Chavalier. Luckily it was after the bit with the concrete drainage channels either side. Watch them!

Chapolas

Doe anyone have a map of the Bleu Nord layout?  I've got H1 place 40 and 41 and was just wondering where this puts me.  Assuming the security dudes put you where you're meant to be...

Cheers
