Hi all,

after its big off in the early hours of sunday morning does anyone know the condition of the driver? the last i heard was that he was awake and off to the medical centre

Treluyer was shaken but already back in the Pesca pits to watch the end of the race - so he was lucky

I was walking back from Tetre Rouge right after it happened when the marshals etc had just gone over to the car. when we saw the fire brigade, ambulance & the screens the marshals held up etc it didn't look hopeful at all.
So glad to hear he was ok on the radio an hour or so later.

After the race we walked over & had a look at the scene. looks as if the car hit the end of the tyre wall flipped landed on top of the armco bounced off landed further down on top of the armco spilling oil everywhere then carried on a bit further along the barrier & stopped.

Yes, I stayed the largest part of the night and the last 6 hours of the race in the KSM pit - full drama at the end...

Star of the small screen as well, Werner - you were clearly visible. Good advert for CA shirts - the one you were wearing was also quite visible.

i was right opposite the KSM pit and spotted the shirt and the head gear !
