and in all seriousness - I've not attended Sebring as yet - the people you need to speak to are probably Paddy, Doris, Mark (JP Chenet), Andy Zarse and I'm sure there's a few others as well.....

I'm told its a hell of an experience, I just haven't quite managed to ever find the funds.....

If you've got the budget - rent an RV and stay on the track ,thats were all the fun is, or there's a lot of hotels/motels in Sebring - Sheraton chateau elan is right on turn 7! (you can watch the race on turn 7 without having to pay track admission!!) but i'm sure they book up quick. for $10 i'll tell you where the audi team stay ;)
ok here it is for free......Inn on the lakes hotel.

I managed to make it over in 2006 .. mainly thanks to the generosity of several fine members on here as I couldn't have made it without a few freebies ;O)

You won't regret it, it's an incredible experience .. although I'm still mentally scarred and undergoing therapy for some of the things I saw in Green Park on the Friday night  ;)

I went to Sebring in 2008, and I'm hoping to find travel companions to get back there over in 2010.
We took a flight to Tampa, drove to Sebring and stayed in a motel 10 minutes from the track.  Payed way too much for what it was, but as we only booked two weeks in advance, it was the best we could find over there (friend of mine drove the race, and only got confirmed that late, that's why we booked so late).

Sebring is a great track, always a nice race, a great atmosphere and great to take pictures (even without credentials).  Since 2007 I also went there for the ALMS testdays (in combination with the Daytona 24hrs).

I agree.

Dunno if you'd survive this one, mate! ;)

We're very carefully planning to combine it with a few days in Austin TX, but it all depends on the finances :-\
