Whats It Worth? *Photo Geeks Apply!*

Start of May i bought my mum the following -

Canon 1000d + 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens
Sandisc 8GB Memory Card
Tamron 70-300 F4/5.6 Lens

I paid £470 for it and its sat in the box NEVER been used. How Much can i get for this as she has asked me to sell it as she will never use it :(

is £350 to little? to much?

There is a more serious question here,  why did you spend £470 on a camera for your Mum when she was never going to use it?  £470 would have gone a long way to paying for a Le Mans trip! If not paid for it all.  You need to get your priorities right!

And whilst we are all bashing Kev,  can you please get rid of that irritating graphic!

Anyway, to answer your question,  I haven't got a clue, but you might find that the component parts are worth more than the whole,  I guess you need to research somewhere like eBay to see what the stuff actually sells for.

Not at all Kev, It's just me listening to Sir Terence of Wogan in the mornings. He has a moan most days about the misuse of the English language and I suppose it is starting to rub off on me.

The Money and Present was from the family to my mother for her Birthday so it wasnt all my money ;) There is more to life than Lemans  :p also i had other commitments as ive said else where ;)

Think if i sell all the parts separate then i will get nearly all the money back then she can use it how ever she wishes!
