Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: T V Coverage

The Race was early last year and clashed with the French open and the tennis got priority. No clash this year so German Eurosport should be showing the same coverage as the WEC app, all sessions from Thursday onwards.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Members area 2024
|

Been trying to book a guest pass for the members area for Wednesday/Thursday for the past week, but the website will only sell them with a members pass for the same days. As I already have a pass for the week I was fearing the worst and resigned myself to an ACO rip off of some sort. Anyway, emailed this morning, was called back within the hour, and as I already had a full week pass, I was able to buy a full week guest pass despite them being shown as sold out on the members website. I have to say well done ACO for excellent customer service.
FYI I was told that the Wednesday/Thursday passes will not be valid on the Friday.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Sunday Night Circuit/Town

In the past, everything on the circuit closed pretty much as soon as the race is over, having said that, we haven’t been up there for a couple of years but I doubt much has changed. All the bars outside the circuit carry on as normal, and generally are less busy than during race week. Mulsanne and Arnage also have bars and eateries that stay open into Sunday night. Town is a good option, but wait a few hours for the rush on the trams to die down!

Ok, let’s get some perspective on this. Yes the prices have gone up, and yes being an ACO member is not as beneficial as it once was. Clearly a shed load of money was spent on last year’s Centenary event, a lot of it on very visible and clearly long term improvements to the infrastructure of the place and other facilities, especially the members areas, they have to recoup this somehow. By way of comparison, Silverstone F1 tickets for 2024 are £329 for 3 day GE, minimum of £489 for 3 day GE pus grandstand, and camping is £129 per person plus £50 supplement for your vehicle, for just 6 hours of track action. Even at the new inflated prices there are few better value top class motor racing events in the world, and let’s be honest, how many of you are really going to spite yourself by not going?

Club Arnage / 2023 / Hippodrome camping pass available
|
on: June 03, 2023, 08:18:47 pm
|
Arrived today to discover that there is no access to Hippodrome until tomorrow, and that Mulsanne was already starting to be occupied. So we have decided to stay at Mulsanne all week rather than split our locations. In short I am in Le Mans with a 40m2 Hippodrome pass we won’t be using. If you can collect it from Mulsanne, or in the circuit somewhere, it’s yours for a donation to cancer research.

Hi All, Due to a member of the Murvi Crew being unavailable for selection, I have a GE ticket for sale, face value €94, call it £94 including postage. Already printed so not a pdf and will need to be posted. I also have a Hippodrome camping pitch that we will be vacating on Wednesday 7th if it is any use to someone after that, again face value €88, yours for £88 including postage of a copy, or cash in euros if you want to arrange to collect it on location, probably around Mulsanne. PM me if interested.
